Cause and effect. Often we concentrate more on the effect rather than the cause. The maxim that “anyone can achieve anything“ is true. Still many of us grapple with a sense of failure on not achieving something we look for.
An important reason is that we focus more on the goal and not the work needed. We often forget that goal is just an effect of the work done towards that. Focussing on goal leads to looking for shortcuts. Shortcuts do not work. They are like lottery tickets. The rewards are high if they work but the chances of them succeeding is very narrow and yet they look exciting.
But concentrating on work on the other hand requires basic thinking, consistent small amounts of work, and have consistent rewards. You just need to concentrate on each microwork session. It takes away all overheads. The goal becomes an effect and automatically happens.
The goal suddenly feels like just the next step.
Happy winning!
